Scale Your Business Faster With Weekly Strategy Sessions

As a mom, business owner, wife, and someone who still tries to keep up a social life, my most valuable asset is time. If I’m going to spend an hour on something (especially midweek) you better believe I want to walk away with something I can immediately use in my business or life.

That’s why I love our Wednesday night calls from 5:00–6:00 PM EST. They’re focused, high-value, and bring in an expert speaker every third Wednesday who doesn’t waste a second on fluff. These calls are like a shot of espresso for your strategy – pure, actionable insight from people who have actually done the thing, not just talked about it.

I’m starting to think the “instant gratification” culture has rewired my brain a bit and the brain of most business owners I know. I have very little tolerance for vague advice or broad theory. I don’t want a 10-step plan that needs a 3-day retreat to figure out. I want someone to say: “Click here. Use this app. Skip the paid version. Post this tomorrow.”

I talk about this all the time with friends. There’s SO much information out there – it’s overwhelming. The real magic is when someone simplifies it for you, lays it out clearly, and better yet, lets you follow along live. That’s what makes these calls so powerful. Especially our recent session with Ethan King.

Ethan’s AI Talk Was a Total Game-Changer

Not only did he break down how to actually use AI in your business, he did it in a way that felt real. He wasn’t trying to sell a fantasy. He was brutally honest about the cringe-worthy, obviously-AI content we’re all seeing online. You know exactly what I mean… the posts that are so robotic, you’re like, “There’s no way Sarah from PTA wrote that.”  (I say that with love… not trying to be a Karen here but come on now, iykyk)

Ethan reminded us that we can still be authentic and save time. We can teach AI to write like us. He literally showed us how to train tools like ChatGPT to sound like our voice, use our stories, and actually reflect our brand – not just spit out generic content.

One thing that really stuck with me was when he talked about content repurposing and automation. I mean, who doesn’t want to create a week’s worth of content in 15 minutes? Between client meetings, school drop-offs, and trying to have an actual conversation with my husband, that’s exactly what I need.

Here are just a few key takeaways from Ethan’s talk that I’m still thinking about:

  • Customize AI tools with your voice: ChatGPT can sound like you, not a robot.
  • Use sites like Qwoted.com to find media opportunities and generate content ideas (way better than HARO).
  • Repurpose everything: Turn one blog into a LinkedIn post, Instagram carousel, newsletter, and even a video script.
  • Automate your visibility: There are tools to post everything for you across platforms, saving HOURS a week.
  • Use tools like Pictory.ai and OpusClip to turn written content into short, engaging videos. Yes, AI will even chop and caption your clips for you.

And let me just say this, when someone tells me to “just log in to your dashboard and find XYZ,” I can feel my eye twitch. Can we bring back customer service that doesn’t require a scavenger hunt?

To me, great service means: Email it to me. Write it for me. Show me exactly how to do it. Simplify it. That’s what Ethan did. It was practical, clean, and zero ego. Just real advice that works.

A friend and I were chatting after the call, and we agreed, every time we hear from someone who’s actually doing the work, who’s been in the trenches, and who speaks like a real human, it lands.

That’s what I crave now. Simplicity. Clarity. Real-world steps.

So, if you’re not blocking off an hour a week to surround yourself with this kind of energy, start now. Carve out the time. Protect it. Because one good idea, implemented with action, can shift your whole month… or your whole business.

Kasey Kohtala is a visionary entrepreneur and growth strategist, started out in the grind of corporate America before answering a deeper calling: building something of her own.

She didn’t enter entrepreneurship to play it safe—she came to do things differently, break the norm, and deliver results that actually mattered. In 2017, she launched her first business as a Massage Heights franchisee in Atlanta, Georgia, and made an immediate mark. With over 943 prospects in the first month (on a target of just 350), she shattered every benchmark the brand had set. In fact, her location set the all-time record for customer sales in the first 60 days—the highest of any franchise in the brand’s 15-year history. She earned national recognition as a Top Performance Leader, and her location went on to rank consistently in the Top 5 nationwide out of 150+ stores, celebrated for its elite performance, standout customer experience, and high-retention team culture.

That early success revealed what she was truly built for: not just business ownership, but building businesses that thrive. She was invited to sit on national boards for customer experience, best marketing strategies, and team culture, and went on to train and support other franchise owners whose locations were struggling—transforming what she learned into impact for others.

Since then, Kasey has built, scaled, and exited with intention. She now owns multiple ventures, including an international e-bike distribution company KAFA Oy in Finland and Sweden. With experience in both solo entrepreneurship and business partnerships, she brings a wide lens and sharp insight to every conversation.

At her core, Kasey is a coach and connector. She’s passionate about helping others break free from playing small, especially those who never thought entrepreneurship was for them. Whether it’s through franchising or launching a startup, she believes in taking bold, aligned action and building with strategy and heart.

A proud mother, wife, and Kentucky native now based in Atlanta, she knows firsthand that time is our most valuable currency—and none of us have time to waste on surface-level networking or communities that don’t move the needle. We’re not here to trade business cards and walk away unchanged. That’s why she’s proud to serve as Managing Partner of Me Plus Ultra, alongside Scott Joseph, where execution is everything. Together, they’ve built a space for serious entrepreneurs—those hungry to grow, challenge the norm, and actually get things done with people who match their pace and ambition.

This blog is an extension of that mission: clear, no-fluff strategies and real stories for people ready to go big and build with purpose.
